November 29, 2009 10:16 AM- dreamy Daisy & the sunset

Yeah, it's a quiet, kind of meditative weekend here at ye olde Soliden ranch. Thank you, November-- for being such a stellar month of sunshine and perfect temps. It seems December has some snow in store for us, but that's okay cause Christine and I are headed north to Montreal on Thursday to spend the weekend chez Jeanine, so I am thinking a bit of sparkling white glistening in the street lights as we traipse about might be okay.

((NOTE: I said a "bit" as in just a sprinkle as in NO BIG DUMPS of ten+ inches, d'accord?))

Our only plans are to go wherever Jeanine takes us although I do plan to take a gander at design*sponge's city guide, too.

If you have any favorite nooks to share about Montreal-- please do let me know. We'll bring cameras so you can come along on the road trip with us!

Bisous, E

got 2 cents?

I did a photo post of my area (Mile End/Outremont in July, if ever you're interested. Design Sponge has lots of places I'd recommend myself - and Fairmount Bagels are truly the best. If you like paper - Papiers Japonais on Fairmount just east of St. Laurent is wonderful...

Oh, whatever you do, go out to have breakfast every day. I dream of Montreal breakfasts: bacon, eggs, feve au lard??? the little bit of melon and fruit on the side. You NEVER get a bit of melon on the side here - ever. I even dream of Eggspectations sometimes. Can't remember any other names...Oh, I remember liking L'Express and there's this flower place - oh, er a man's name, Marcel somebody perhaps? Anyway it's a really beautiful flower place that sells other objets with a garden in the back. I give up, it's been too long...

I just now discovered that you're back! I happened to hear whisperings via someone else's blog, and the rumors were true! Your last post seemed so...final...that I took you off my Google Reader. So so glad that post crossed my radar screen. Between your and Miss Doxie's triumphant return, I'm over the moon! Back on the Reader you go. :)

And now I just realized...you are un-Readerable! Which is why you weren't there in the first place. I will have to come back the old-fashioned way. :)
