Oh, the contradictions!

Love the U.S. Open.
Hate the end of Summer.

Love the wildly shifting sky as the seasons change.
Hate the end of Summer.

Love the fat hydrangea blossoms as they blush from white to pink.
Hate the end of Summer.

Love the chill night air that calls for soft, flannel sheets.
Hate the end of Summer.

But I'll get over myself. Wishing you a sweet weekend!

got 2 cents?

I hate the end of summer because I LOVE the heat, and I have to go back to work. What more is there to hate than that?!

Think of it not as the end of Summer but the beginning of Autumn. :)

Every year it seems to slip past a little more quickly. Looking forward to the red leaves and cobalt skies of fall though.

Great. I am going to have to go searching all over the house... again, to find my husband when I need him, only to find him in front of the television, watching a little yellow ball be hit back and forth, back and forth, back and forth...he loves tennis, enjoys it vicariously. You know, if you shave your head, I could live vicariously! I hate the end of summer too!

I always lament the end of summer. It is such a melancholy and shifty time. Though i also always feel a strange sense of satisfaction when a summer well earned and well played in comes to a close.

I felt a little guilty eating an apple this weekend while I'm still waiting for my tomatoes to ripen. Fear not, though--leggings ahoy!

The end of the summer makes me terribly sad and joyful all in the same breath. Fall inspires me to tears. The time is also very nostalgic. I love rainy fall days. But I miss endless summer...and all the yummy food. Oh dear, you've moved me to tears without even knowing it.
