November 30, 2006 5:32 PM- when lake meets sky

It's been a work from home day for both of us where there was no need to venture into civilization except for late in the afternoon when I remembered--Fish Man! Our weekly visit from the Maine fish man who sets up his truck downtown.

I volunteered to go as I also needed a couple reams of printer paper which I had to buy at the mortgage store. Isn't that where you buy printer paper? Yes-- tourist towns have no normal office supply shops. Either you drive 30 minutes to the golden mile and stop in at a Big Box Store, or you duck your head into the loan processing establishment across from the post office and buy two reams from their stock-- so neighborly.

It had been rainy all morning so I didn't realize until I was buzzing alongside the lake (without my camera, natch!) that a bit of light had begun trying to break through.

When I got home I told T that it was 'holy mother of god" beautiful down there and if I didn't have a roaring headache which required me to dive headfirst into my pillows I would run back with my camera to take some photos.

"Gimme your camera," quoth he. And lo, when I woke from the healing slumber didn't I find some magic images waiting for me.

got 2 cents?

I swear that lake looks so much like Littleton it's eerie. I guess a NH lake looks like a NH lake.
