November 02, 2007 9:33 AM- hey! where are you?

UPDATED TO ADD: Wow-- has there ever been a more prescient title for a post?-- thank you for all the concerned emails oh-me-oh-my did they make me feel the love! This site was down due to the stunning incompetence of our hosting service. Or, as I might say, there's only one letter difference between hosting and HOSING. I guess over 200,000 sites were affected and some people were mighty upset-- some more deets here if you are interested in that kind of thing.

Poor, T. ALL of his biz sites were down and although, this morning, bp is up (and let's be clear, Angelina and Brad weren't jumping in a plane to race to the rescue since, you know, no one's going hungry if this site is down) but all of the IMPORTANT client sites are still down. And their email--- yikes.

I did have an incredible breakthrough weekend-- 12-13 hours in the studio Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Made and finished six pieces. Am in Boston now. Home tonight--- photos, more to share then.

Again, all your care and concern--- I wear it wrapped in a ribbon around my neck-- BISOUS!!

Some things I highly recommend: in your first semester teaching at an art college, catch out a plagiarist (colleges just LOVE the time and difficulty involved with disciplining a student) and then, bonus points if you take down another teacher in the process who had previously accepted the same paper two years earlier without ever questioning the lack of source material. This is a fine way to make yourself a part of the team.

Also, when you have three days in a row with no houseguests, no commitments of any kind-- catch up on all the art projects that have been hanging over your head.

If you are to follow my second recommendation (HIGHLY recommended, emphasis on the high), be sure to imagine you can create a six-week syllabus, prep class notes and review five research papers at the end of the same weekend you are consumed with said art projects.

Compartmentalization ala Bill Clinton or Denial of the clinical variety?

You decide . . .

Yes-- dive in! I mean, really-- on a sunny day like this? Is there any other way?

P.S. If I survive-- I'll be back end of next week.

got 2 cents?

Oh boo hoo for the lying, cheating student! If they haven't learned the difference between right and wrong by now, then I think they fully deserve being called out on it. I always had to earn my A's the hard way, so the over achiever in me is giving you a standing ovation for sticking to your guns :)

It will be very interesting hearing from you how the college decided to discipline this student. I have always wondered what would happen in such cases.
