July 03, 2007 11:44 AM- curses, foiled again

Is it possible to expire from self-induced ennui and lethargy? It's an experiment I'm currently conducting--results to follow.

Seriously. The weather today (as it has been for the past few days) is simply exquisite: high pressure, fat white fluffy clouds, sunshine, yet no bugs. The lake sparkles and ripples. From my office I'm easily hypnotized by the branches of the maple trees that wave their green leaves gently up, then down, then up again . . .

It feels like somewhere in the night a malintentioned creature of some sort put a spell on me where everything I touch turns to sand and rubble. I know it's all mine to fix. And I know what I need to do to fix it-- I'm not whining for counsel here. I'm just trying to explain why, when I have so much to share (book reviews! photos! new projects!), I can't seem to drag my ass in here and write.

Since I am not going to spray this eau de tiresome again (well, at least not until the next round which I'm hoping is at least six months from now)-- it seems it may be awhile before I am back, my joie de vivre intact and my ability to communicate reinstated.

Til then-- keep walking on sunshine.

got 2 cents?

I hope this stage passes, but the weather stays! Is that a zinnia or a marigold? It's gorgeous. And I'm so curious as to what you're up to (and glad that Henry's still improving.)

Oh moi aussi! Except mine stems from constant downpours and HAIL STONES THE SIZE OF GRAPES (of wrath). Oh, and bomb scares every five seconds I s'pose. Seriously, the ennui has enveloped me in its fleece hoodie like clutches. There is no escape...we must acquesiesce dear BP...but I'd rather be in a wildflower meadow than ere.xx

Yowza, those flowers are stunning! Don't worry love, it's your summer sabbatical, we've come to expect it (even if we are saddened by the radio silence). I hope the weather and holiday lift your spirits, and that work isn't bringing you down too much. XO

Oh, what a lovely vase of flowers!! I especially love the shades of yellow. How can anyone feel ennui and lethargy when faced with such beauty? Then again, don't listen to me..I've been told that yellow is the favorite color of insane people.

For some reason, I'm imagining you sitting in a caf? in Paris, with an allong? and a pain au chocolat, scribbling thoughts in your journal the good old fashion way - pen and paper. Happy journey wherever you are. Bisoux.

I talked to my mom today, and she told me about a wonderful POPPY jacket she bought on her trip out west. It's black, and a green stem goes down the sleeve with leaves coming right down the end of the cuff and the flower is all around the neck, so that your head comes out of it. She said it is the most beautiful, coolest jacket EVER. It's not blue, though I still thought of you immediately.
