Yesterday I drove down to Boston so I could crash into the very busy life of my friend Tara who is NOT on vacation and yet is good enough to let me come in and sprawl across her scene with my badass vactioning self.

For some reason, I had vivd, detailed dreams last night and decided to share them with T when I called him this morning to check in.

ME: So in the dream we get a whole box of puppies delivered to us. There are like six or eight or twelve of them, I don't know-- lots, too many to care for or name them all and I'm trying to take care of them and not let them get hurt when ANOTHER whole box of puppies is delivered and some of these puppies are so small they are like spiders.

HIM: In my dream you were kidnapped.

ME: I was!?

HIM: Yeah but the ransom wasn't for me. It ws some guy working on our house hadn't paid his bills so the guy kidnapped you to get him to pay. But when we got the note it was first thing in the morning so I said, "we know where the drop off is, let's go after we put in a full day's work."

ME: You didn't go get me?

HIM: No. And then when we did go to meet up with the kidnappers I realized I was naked and had to run home and stole a towel off someone's laundry line and then had to go through people's houses and jump out windows and then I woke up.

ME: You woke up and left me still kidnapped?!!

HIM: Yeah.

Anyway. I'm off to wander the streets and galleries-- maybe take in a matinee or get a pedicure or slide into a yoga class-- or maybe all that.
