December 11, 2005 10:05 AM- sunday morning

. . . sometimes the light's all shining on me, other times I can barely see, lately it occurs to me . . .*

*I cannot imagine you guys don't know the Grateful Dead-- but in that strange event, I must be sure to attribute that it is Jerry Garcia tripping around in my head this morning.

got 2 cents?

I confess...I DON'T know the Dead, well, only a little bit, but how can I care when I can sit and stare at these beautiful photos? Mmmm...the river looks like it's made of fog.

Not much of a deadhead myself...but in the past, I remember being more of a fan of Mickey Hart (their drummer - really liked his book), than of Jerry Garcia; I did like Jerry's tie art...anyway, I suppose there are worse ghosts to have haunting your head!

Such amazing photos. I wish I could come over with some hot cider and warm cookies to enjoy the view with you every now and then...hope things are going well...and that you are continuing to take care of yourself.

It's been a long strange trip. I was somehow dragged to hundreds of GD shows as a youth. New Years show was where I figured out what to do with my life. It involved ambition, hard work, etc. AKA I didn't fit in too good at the Grateful Dead. But it was interesting from the standpoint of social psychology and mass behavior (and class analysis). And I liked the drugs.

No Deadhead here, but I am thinking that there's a portal to Narnia at Soliden...

Wonderful quote for beautiful pics. But why do you keep torturing us so? I'm with Stephanie - bring on the fudge.

Gorgeous photos. So happy you subsequently posted that you're not a Deadhead...or I might have to rip that "I heart Blue Poppy" bumper sticker off my car. ;) My weirdest Jerry Garcia moment: working on a (not Dead) music video he was in...he showed up...without a guitar...the director had to send a frazzled P.A. out to rent one in a hurry. :)
