July 11, 2004 9:38 AM- and on the eighth day, God posted

Yesterday, I went up to the 82 and watched T working the upper meadow. I brought sandwiches and treats for the dogs. But that's where my contribution ended. I stretched out on a chaise lounge to finish Don't Let's Go to the Dogs Tonight and savor the exquisite peace of my favorite place in the whole world.

The past ten days? My god. Is it me or has a particularly maleovlent malaise descended upon us? Every blog I read someone is physically ill or struggling to keep up morale. And the same is true for the 3-d world. What the hell? Can we just blame it on two full moons in one month?

No. Here is my irrefutable theory. Miss Doxie did not post for a full month! A full month people. THIS is what has thrown the universe into a tailspin. THIS is why Amalah has been ill, why Wee cannot find her happy feet and Kat has her neck and back out of joint.

But people, call me Gabriel (or, Gabrielle I suppose), I am here with the good news.

She hath posted and lo, the malaise didst lift and the people wept and witty comments were once again flitting caustically back and forth across the land of blogs and the sun was in its sky and all was right with the world. Amen. Blessed Be.

got 2 cents?

Sheryl says:
doesn't she realize she is the seritonin of the cyber brain? I'd call her a bad name, but she might never post again. I am always looking for a good book, and I will try "Don't Let's Go..." Okay your dogs are really cute and all, but WHERE ARE THE FLOWERS? They were art nouveau without being stuffy; they were ornamental without being busy. They said, "Come and rest your overstimulated media-bombarded eyes, yea I wiil give them peace." I NEED THOSE FLOWERS.
