December 19, 2007 5:42 PM- out the window

I know I've said this before, but that middle dog o' mine-- he loves to have his picture taken. Seriously. He is outside. Outside. Away from the window and as soon as I start snapping some shots, who shows up?

He does make me laugh-- so that's good.

DAISY: Can you believe these two are waiting for Santa?

OLLIE: Ah, don't be cynical, little one. . .

OLLIE: . . . and then the great Dog of the North swoops out of the sky on his magic flying dogbed and brings biscuits and toys to all the good little puppies . .

DAISY: Like me!

OLLIE: Uh, no. I wouldn?t be keeping your hopes up if I were you, kid? chewing window sills definitely lands you on the naughty list.

DAISY: Hey. I'm not the one who took a big, wet poop on the window seat.

OLLIE: SHHhh. That was an ACCIDENT.

DAISY: And I just accidentally chewed through five window sills--

OLLIE: I thought we agreed we would never mention that window seat horror show which shall never be named again.

DAISY: Fine?here?s to a clean slate in 2008!

got 2 cents?

Oh, the flowers.... with the snow. Sigh. :) Your dogs are adorable. We had three puppies for two weeks--I definitely admire you for your brood! Fun, but whew!

Last year I found a little book...The Night Before Dog-mas - St. Bernard is "Santa" and he finds homes for all the dogs in the shelter...it's a sweet little trifle, it makes me blubber like a baby for crying out loud!

I think the Great Dog of the North must make special dispensations for accidents - even repeated ones. After all, dogs are very forgiving...and who could resist those sweetly pleading melty brown eyes?

Do your geraniums survive the winter indoors (if that is what they are?)

hi all-- the flowering plants are cyclamen and yes, I do bring the geraniums indoors in the Fall and keep them alive (so to speak) through the winter. They mostly stay green but every once in a while they surprise me with bright bloom in February which is always a treat

How do you keep your cyclamen looking so pretty? I am pretty much an indoor-plant-killer...
