December 19, 2009 6:31 AM- save a horse, ride a cowboy

The temperatures have moved back up into the more reasonable realm of low 20s and the wind has gone off to ruffle someone else's feathers. We have a quiet morning here, filled with stillness and thin, wintery light.

It's a good match for our energy levels here at the bp homestead as last night was T's office party which is held in one wildass venue-- downstairs of a recording studio-- very much like a grotto with one full wall exposed granite, low ceilings, pub tables and a dance floor replete with light show. The decor is a mix of I don't even know how to put it into words-- old board games, recording studio paraphenalia, portrait drawings of movie stars, dancing santas, strings of colored lights everywhere (that you just know were not put there for the holiday season, but are a permanent fixture), we've got velvets, plaids, parquet floors-- shall I continue? I think you get the concept.

Anyway, his department is a great group of people who love to party and to dance(!) so after the mingling, noshing, eating, etc-- the remainder of the night was spent on the dance floor busting moves.

Below, Daisy is giving you all a pretty good imitation of what I looked like last night.

We got home way after midnight and I actually have a work day ahead of me (I know! but this is my busy month for SAW, believe it or not) so I'm moving about pretty slowly and wishing I could stay buried under the covers for maybe another couple three hours or days, or even a good week.

*sigh*

One of these days I will return to my drowsy fabulist ways with a vengeance. For now, it's a bit of the high-ho, high ho . ..

Bisous, E

got 2 cents?
