December 02, 2009 7:46 PM- that damn dog
(THURSDAY MORNING UPDATE: he's home, the scamp).
In homage to Denise who always takes such inspiring, yet utterly spontaneous shots with her phone-- I grabbed these with my camera phone this morning when we stopped at the creek.
And . . . that's all we got for a post here at casa bp this evening. Christine is here. We've scarfed chips and salsa accompanied by a lovely sauvingon blanc. Dinner was scallops grilled in olive oil, butter and lemon over angel hair pasta with a side of endive and beet salad. I share this with you all in case there are any incriminating photographs this weekend that highlight my extended belly. It's not all the rice krispie treats, I swear-- it's that goddamn angel hair pasta that's got me rolling about like a bowl full of jelly.
Sad note: Oliver has run off which is truly bizarre and, as always, most upsetting. Tomorrow the Chitnis and I head up the road to spend the weekend chez Jeanine.
We're a little bit excited for our adventure and I need to go to bed now because I need all the brain power I can get-- please tell me Montreal is an easy city to navigate-- my geographically challenged mind needs to believe this to be so.
*fingers crossed*
Ollie, oh Ollie-- where are you? Come home and stop breaking your mama's heart.
Bisous, E

Michelle Shopped says: wish i could tell you that but i don't remember it being easy to navigate (what with all those "crazy" canadian drivers flying by at goddess only knows how many kilometers per hour -- (and i say that with affection as canada has a special place in my heart) posted on: December 03

Tracey says: Glad to read Ollie is safe and sound! Enjoy your trip! I would send you keen geographical vibes but seeing as I don't have any that is hardly possible. I can however send you heaps of patience, for that I've acquired much of in the past few years. mmmmuaah! posted on: December 03

Megsie says: I am so happy that Ollie is home. And I am glad that I didn't know he was AWOL until he was home. Have a great trip :) It snowed here--just a dusting last night, so you may see some snow after all. posted on: December 03

Jazz says: It's raining here today, and the weekend is supposed to be nice with temps hovering around freezing. No snow in the forecast.
And Montreal is really easy to navigate. Piece of cake it is... or rice krispie square as the case may be. posted on: December 03
