February 28, 2008 4:44 PM- icy reflections

Thoughts I have had, lately:

I don?t want to die in winter. When I go, I want it to be in the full-on bloom of summer.

I am a lab rat in some diabolical test run by aliens to see how human beings react to steadily increasing elements of adversity.

Daisy is a vamp.

Do you see the shoulder action she is giving the camera? Come on, the girl is working it.

I think someone should offer a luxury sleep vacation. Seriously. With beautiful bed linens and heavenly mattresses and billowing panels of sheer fabric at the windows that look out over an impossibly blue sea. All you do when you get there is sleep. People come and bring you tea and croissants and perhaps, some lovely bisque if you should wake in the evening hours. Now I just need to think of a name for such a place.

I?m kind of wishing I hadn?t been such a bitch to March when I last saw him. God, I hope he doesn?t have any bad feelings toward me. Like I need another month wanting to test our relationship.

got 2 cents?

Jesus, the piles of snow look the same at your house as they do at my house, and YES it is snowing AGAIN, and the COLD, ARGH! I am with you BP, I feel like a lab rat confronting the elements, and oh, color depravation experiments too. I keep having visions of me sitting on a lovely beach, with the bluest ocean and the greenest palm trees and the warmest of breezes with my face towards the sun, and Viggo Mortensen waiting on me hand and foot. AHHHH!

what did I hear last night in a movie..oh, right... "you lose your idealism when you lose your innocence..." I'm glad to see Daisy still has both, that Old Man Winter hasn't beaten the piss out of her - yet. Maybe you'll miss the Month of Mud called March and go right from SNOW to Spring ? Maybe.

It frightens me, thinking of those airplanes that will include beds in them... sleeping on trains... little compartments in Japanese movies. But then I think about how lovely and wonderful and perfect that act of comfortable sleep can be. And I hope when I wake, it will be spring.

You must be Toad. Toad from Frog and Toad All Year by Arnold Lobel. Take a peek at the book and read the sneak peek of Down the Hill. You will totally relate to Toad. This same author wrote a story about spring being 'just around the corner'. Frog and Toad turned every corner getting fed up with no show until . . . well, I'd better let you read the end! Riiibett. Riiibett.
