Shall we?

Some days are so perfect, so shimmering with utter loveliness that they defy capture be it by pen, brush, song, or lens. This morning is such a day.

Instead let's talk about peace. Here's one way to experience it:

1. Adopt a puppy.

2. Be sure the puppy is half border collie or another equally energetic breed.

3. Live with her for two years so that you are completely adjusted to her needs and temperament.

4. Then, one day --out of the blue-- have your husband go off on an overnight camping trip and take the puppy with him.

5. Ahh, feel that quiet?

That, dearhearts, is the gentle absence of frenetic excitement. Breathe deeply. We love our girl and will delight in her return, but oh baby, is it ever nice to hang out with some old dudes.

Now, not only am I shutting off the computer for the rest of the weekend, I am clearing it (and every blessed bit of crap) off of my desk surfaces as I sink into 48 hours of another artathon (as T so lovingly refers to it).

So until next we meet-- be naughty, wild, irreverent and completely unaccountable. You know, just for kicks.
