September 17, 2008 8:22 AM- next year? dog sitter

DAISY: Oh my god, that was the longest week ever! Has the woman never heard of a dog sitter? Or, better yet-- a dog walker!

HENRY: Um, could you move your head a bit to the right? Your mother wasn't a glassmaker, you know.

DAISY: And you know she's not gonna give us a big walk today, either.

HENRY: How can you be so sure?

DAISY: Oh dude-- it's all in the toes.

HENRY: You can read toes?

DAISY: Hell yeah-- I'm a toe reader from way back.

HENRY: No kidding? I never learned how to do that.

DAISY: No? How do you anticipate her next move then?

HENRY: Oh, I'm all about the ear rub.

DAISY: Really? You get good info from that?

HENRY: Oh yeah-- all I ever really needed to know I learned getting an ear rub.

DAISY: I heard that's how they did it in the old days-- didn't know anyone was still doing that.

HENRY: When will I learn?

DAISY: Oh come on now-- don't judge me. He's got size, I've got brains. Besides-- it's all her fault (points ---> bp). If she hadn't ABANDONED us last week, maybe I wouldn't have so much pent-up anger and hostility, hmm?

Guess it's time to get the brombies out for a BIG walk up the mountain (don't want anyone putting the doggy DSS on my ass!) If I take any photos, I'll post them later.

got 2 cents?

how sweet of your babies to "let go" of you last week so that we could have you...I'm sure they are thrilled to have you back for all of their regular full time loving !!!

ahhh...mine had a similar dialogue wihen they were left for two many hours during an event where we, not them, were having all the fun. it actually took some time for them to forgive us. From what I've been reading and hearing SAW was a smashing success - congratulations elizabeth (i knew it would be)!!

thanks Katie! And, re: the dogs, I DID bring Daisy to registration and she was darling and friendly and all was well until the "dog police" came and said she had to go (there's a no dog policy at RDC, alas) HOWEVER, I just got permission this morning for 2009 to have the 3 of them come for a meet and greet on Weds night right before opening ceremony!
