June 08, 2008 11:24 AM- sunday sunny sunday

DAISY: Hey Ollie, come play with me.

OLLIE: Am busy.

DAISY: Look Ollie, look! I can touch my tongue to my-- . . . Ollie?

DAISY: He's not answering. He doesn't want to play with me.

DAISY: It's because I'm hideous. My tongue is too long. I'm no good. I'm obnoxious and annoying just like everyone says.

HENRY: Oh come now, little one. I'll play with you.

DAISY: Is this a trick? Henry? Play with me?

DAISY: Really truly? You'll let me jump on you and everything?

HENRY: Knock yourself out, kid.

DAISY: Oh boy! This is so much fun!

DAISY: Your face is so squishy! whee--

DAISY: That was great. Thanks Henry, you're the best.

HENRY: Je t'en prie, ma cherie. Je t'en prie.

got 2 cents?

Oh the green, the green! We took our dogs to play in the woods this weekend. We're all very sleepy now. But I bet ours could wiggle upward for a jaunt with yours! xo

That made me feel so happy that I left my studies for a while to go chase my dogs around the lawn. However, two seemed more interested in chasing each other, the third was chewing on a glove and the puppy ran away, convinced that I was trying to take away the piece of something horrible he was playing with.

Now I've got my dog smile on just like Daisy. (Minus the lolling tongue)

In Texas we used to say that you could tell how hot it was outside by how long the dog's tongue was...
