Dreams

All people dream, but not equally.
Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their mind,
Wake in the morning to find that it was vanity.
But the dreamers of the day are dangerous people,
For they dream their dreams with open eyes,
And make them come true.

- T.E. Lawrence

Oh wait, look who just came up to wish you all a Happy New Year--

Either that or they came to inspect the studio that took me seven (7!) hours to clean yesterday-- o.m.g. but, ahh-- it feels so good to be in here this morning-- there was a moment yesterday midway through I thought I would die, never finish, or have to relinquish my self-concept as a highly organized individual, thankfully no. Things are energized and sorted and shelved and so on.

Ha. Look at them, they are listening to T get up and go downstairs to make a fire.

Wait. That photo erroneously reflects a rather messy studio when in fact it is spit spot, or, you know, as spit spot as my space ever gets--

Okay then-- at least that gives some semblance of its transformation. Or, I guess I should have taken photos yesterday and done a before and after-- but whatever.

Whoops, maybe I shouldn't have told the dogs the truth about Christmas.

HENRY: There's no Santa?!

But geez. One day it's all blather and the next it's too many photos. All I wanted to say when I came in here was, THANK YOU.

Thank you thank you thank you all. Truly-- I'm not sure how this all works with the great internet love exchange but I know that I am so grateful to your kindness and support and comments that never fail to lift me up or make me laugh. I wish you everything you want most today and in every day ahead-- bisous.

And the dogs? Well, they love you, too.

got 2 cents?

Well Happy New Year to you BP, and to T and to Henry, Ollie and Daisy. It has been, and will continue to be, a total pleasure to visit your blog. I know you have many thanks for us who visit and comment, but I want to thank you for putting your life out here, on this blog, for all to see and comment on. It has been joy to read your opinions, and perspectives on life, and to see you take risks and change and grow. You are just the spark plug the world needs to hear from daily. I wish for you in this new year, continued creativity and life opportunities that make you feel alive. Keep on dreaming with your eyes wide open!

I love that I am not the only one to walk barefoot in the snow...I'm assuming it is because you too are too lazy to find shoes instead of getting your slippers wet. At least that's my reasoning :) Happy New Years and I too think you are such a great daily inspiration. A heartfelt and beautiful inspiration.

I decided to re paint my bathroom today and just over halfway through I was considering paying someone to come in and paint the ceiling for me so I could go and have a martini. But I continued with my mindless toil and slipped into a daydream that "they" made a reality tv show about virtual friends meeting in real life and we were on it. Oh it was an exciting and dramatic moment when we met! I had Lola under my arm and you had the B mob scampering along with you (we both looked great on camera and had fabulous hair btw). I only later saw your comment...Happy 2008 - see you in Paris! xx

Happy New Year to you too! And, are those footprints in the SNOW? Is someone sincerely CRAZY? (I remember when we first moved to the Midwest and I decided going out barefoot would be interesting... oh, the pain this original southerner felt!!) Your studio is lovely and makes me want to go home and do some art. Do you think the kids would miss me? xox

Hey BP...Happy New Year! The quote above is one of my favorites. But I think (unless I've been mistaken for quite some time), that it should be attributed to T.E. Lawrence...not D.H. Lawrence. Art
