August 19, 2007 10:27 AM- swirls

Yes, those are the aforementioned sunflowers-- still going strong this morning. I rambled outside, wrapped in my pink terrycloth robe to grab some sunny shots. Glad I did as only a few hours later and a chill, autumnal wind has kicked up and the sky is darker with the scudded clouds that make you think, what?! end of summer already??

(Doesn't Daisy look like a teenager caught with her first cigarette?)

How does it go by so fast and winter drags on so long?

Last night wrapped up early (9:30 ish) compared to the night before when we got home after 1 am. That's because the boys had to ready themselves for their 4:30 am wake up call to head to the beach and begin their swim followed by their bike ride followed by their run all of which makes them TIMBERMEN! Hoo-yah.

When we got home Pan's Labyrinth was on and we both got hooked in deep. Oh god, you know what? I can't even write about it right now. I really can't. I need another day. It's too raw. I'm still in my robe. I haven't been able to come out from under its influence despite my efforts at communing with the birdsong this morning. It cut me off at the knees-- and I will write about it. Later.

For now, I must pull on some clothes, shoes and take the brombies out for a walk where I may or may not bring home more wild blackberries.

Here is the galumph looking particularly Senatorial this morning.

Asta my pretties.

got 2 cents?

wha? end o' summer already? people say it'll cool off here round October. But even already are the 110 days fewer and far btwn, such a difference it makes when you get used to the 110 and then it's in the 90s, a 20 degree difference, makes you think "it's cool" out... enjoy your summer sunday with the pups, beautiful as ever.

A kiss on the nose for each member of the mom. Too dear!! I really really really want to see that movie...haven't seen hide nor hair of it here, though, sadly. :( I shall have to hunt it down online and order it.

That movie had a similar effect on me. Slipped into my psyche and made me brimfull of tears and fantasy. As for summer--It's FALL here today. In the blink of an eye. We gotta get together before the foliage leaves us. (ha ha. I so didn't intend that pun.)

aww, yay! i took my guys hiking this morning - always great to live where you can hike! :D pan's labyrinth - i couldn't write about it after i saw it either, for multiple reasons, many of which involve a real inabilty to articulate my emotions too soon after the fact. i never did get around to it, though.
