August 18, 2007 12:51 PM- a question for the ages

Will someone, someday, somehow create packaging for cds that doesn't make you hate the brand new cd in your hand before you've even opened it?

Seriously. Is there a purpose to the madness that is opening a cd?

Now, perhaps you are wondering if it were all worthwhile, and yes, as I listen to Feist, Let it Die I can safely say, yes.

However, for the record, she has not knocked Corinne Bailey Rae out of her top seed position--.

got 2 cents?

I may well sound like a smart ass for this but...One could completely circumvent this problem by downloading the music. Legally of course.

I know, what is WITH THAT??? I'm gonna have to mosey on over to itunes and take a listen. A radio station that I love here plays Feist, but I've never paid it more attention than that.

I'm a little upset with Feist right now because I was THRILLED to see she was playing in Paris (just after Fashion Week, in October, what a nice reward!) and then muuuch less thrilled to see that tickets are 100 euro. It's at the Cigale, which is a super small venue and would be amaaazing, but still. I'm a little disappointed.
