Day five of my vacation and I must say, if lolling were available as a graduate level intensive, I?d totally have that sheepskin in the bag.
Of course, here on Mount Gloom, the weather continues with its best impression of a Brazilian rainforest during the cool, damp months?so I don?t have any photos to share. (Just imagine green with more green and then STILL MORE green swathed in thick bands of gray). Instead, I?ll keep us all focused on the bright St. Tropez blue of last week?s visit to the Cape and share a couple more photos of Chatham.
Meanwhile, some questions for you that we vacationers like to ponder:

c - although all the choices are hideous, I picked "c" because on the bottom of your foot, you can't use willpower to keep from scratching -- you're scratching and aggravating it just by walking
d - everyone else strikes me as pretentious, mean, or too shy in real life

Does that make you a lolly? :D I pick 1a because I would probably scratch right through to my EYEBALL; Bill Murray because he just somehow seems more approachable than the others; and 14th wedding anniversaries are definitely courageous and sexy, not to mention inspiring!

A to all! I'm something of an expert on 1 having had a mosquito bite in all those places. The eyelid was definitely the worst because your eye swells up and closes shut and you look hideously disfigured whilst your pretty blonde friend has no bites even though it was her who left the window open and the light on in the room. I'm over it. Totally. And Bill Murray - plus he's quite tall so could potentially aid escape. And congrats on your courage! Wow. xx

I would say get stuck with David Sedaris, but I'd need a buffer... all that humor would squash me, and I'd end up exiting, feeling like a giant moron.
Lolling is lovely... I've been doing too much of it here, and I'm not on vacation.
These are GORGEOUS pictures by the way. Makes me feel a little depressed in Midwest wonderland!

a bite requires scratching, scratching one's ass isn't always possible - no one sees me scratch my ass.
only because I'd prefer Tom Robbins, but have a feeling the entire episode in the elevator would leave me feeling retarded and less than, when instead why not opt for humor, and silly Caddyshack style, not I Talk Pretty style, I mean, that would be similar to the whole TR syndrome - leaving me feel exhausted and stressed for having to pretend to be brilliant for X amount of hours... and last but not least...
courageous...because sometimes, some days and for some reasons, marriage is truly sufferably difficult - cohabitating with someone who you aren't genetically related too? love schmove...some days are just plain hard, and it takes great great courage to withstand the hard, to climb mount everest together so you can lay on the beach together. May you be be blessed with more "laying on the beach together" days than the other kind. :) p.s. I only speak from my own experience, perhaps there are others who find marriage to be one long blissfest...if you do, call them what they are - FREAKS! ;P

i have a mosquito bite on the bottom of my foot. it is the most painful thing EVER. and you can't walk on it because it will swell. Plus im ticklish on my foot.

mmkay, I have a mosquito bite in EACH of those places currently, and my sunburn is pretty bad. You don't really feel the bite on top of that. Bottom of the foot, it itches, and I can't itch it, it's on my broken toe. Ohh, and I even have one in my CRACK. SIt down and the itch kinda goes away a little. BUT my EYELID. That sucks beyond belief. Can't itch it, can't put anything on it, but because tat is sensitive skin, it itcheslike crazy. It's been 2 days, and it's still going strong. It's also swollen up, and makeup irritates it, so I look pretty.
