It's the fur. She's got this scrummy delicious fur. It will soon become
the bane of my existence, I know, as this fur needs grooming and necessitates dread activities like, sweeping and vacuuming.
I cherish the boys and their easy no-care coats, but for right now, this little love muffin has got the silkiest, sweet-smelling winter coat.*
OLLIE: I categorically refuse to look at anyone who uses the word "scrummy."
HENRY: I could go for some cake.
DAISY: Am I really the only adult in this room?
DAISY: I am so sick of being objectified.

OMG. Gasp. She is just...so... ADORABLE. I didn't realize when she was smaller that she was a retriever. We're thinking of getting a puppy, maybe this summer. We miss having a dog (ours was aggressive with Bean and now lives with DH's parents). Please do tell what mud season is like, and also, if the vacuuming gets worse. She is just such a breathlessly perfect little snuggle of a dog. Which isn't to say that the two gentlemen aren't perfectly handsome, because they are!

Daisy is yummy scrummy indeed. I can't imagine how she isn't a spoiled darling already. Maybe for summer she can have a summer cut - we have to do that with Velcro, and he is so cute with a buzz cut, looking like puppy all over again. But of course his fur drives me crazy all year long - and him, too, I feel sure!
