The blog world is an ever-changing landscape and the blogs that draw me in the most right now are artist/creator sites, especially people just beginning who post pictures of their early work. It gives me such inspiration to see pieces that are rough, ungainly, perhaps not a complete resolution to what the artist had originally intended, but-- part of the overall progress.
So, I will share my tentative beginnings with you. I have a most wondrous friend named Mindy who has a most wondrous studio and we have been falling into a sweet weekly routine where I go over there for 3-4 hours and we create in most (wait for it) wondrous tandem.
I think she'll let me take some photos of the studio so I'll grab some one of these times and share those, too as her space is inspiraton itself.
And, I've given over to the cabin fever = dog obsession. Perhaps once it's warmer out I'll be focusing on something/someone else, but for now-- it's all I got. (This is what they look like as I sit here typing to you.)
Odd non-sequitur: does anyone else make meanings up for the spam blocker crazy words you have to plug in to post on some people's sites? No? Just me then-- well let me share, I was leaving a comment and the security code was NFWBP. Ha. No FUCKING WAY BP.
Wait-- where are you all going? Okay, okay-- I am weird, I know-- but I thought you KNEW.

oh! I am so impressed, er, specially cos I created a whole new blog to post my creative bits on two months ago and then posted ramblings about anything but! Am shamed. Takes guts I know, am gutless. But this is lovely, more more more! And a pic of the studio space to drool over would be lovely too...

How cool, BP! Awesome imagery - I love collage and mixed media.
As for assigning meaning to word verification codes, I'm glad to know I'm not alone. I attribute my fascination with it to living in S. Calif. - home of the personalized license plate - there's not much else to do when you're stuck in a traffic jam, than to try to figure out what the license plate in front of you means. SCR4DD? Is that "soccer for dad?" or "sucker for daddy"?

Ooooh...it's so yummy and full of things to look at - I love the scribbled bits of writing scattered about - and the swans! And the red flowers bursting across the canvas! Just everything! How awesome that you're collaborating and getting that creative time in - you are such a clever poppy.
Now I will have to make up secret messages with spam blockers - it will definitely make leaving comments a tad bit more interesting!

Yum! Is this the Mindy in the South End? I can't remember if that's her name, but she has a very inspirational studio and I know she brings people in to put tools and resources and inspiration at their fingertips to see what happens.
