November 19, 2005 8:15 AM- lest we forget

For Christina. Keep the faith, baby---- the best things in life are worth the struggle. (Well, except for massages and spa days-- cause, there's no struggle there and DAMN, if they aren't up there with the best things in life, non?)

Cause these photos may look pretty-- but let me assure you of how f*cking miserable it was to be in artic temps building a house out doors with no escape from the elements.

got 2 cents?

I now heart you forever. Thank you for reminding me that the gorgeous Soliden did not arrive perfect with gleaming floors over night. It's so hard to keep perspective. I got an extra hour of sleep this morning (thanks to my wonderful hubs) and there was talk of a massage... Ahhh.

I LOVE THAT LAST PIC! It just shows how we 'frame' everything - our experiences, nature, life. F*cking brilliant!

It is cold out there, isn't it? You should leave that lovely hellhole and move out here to gorgeous Oregon (sunny and 55 degrees right NOW) where we could get together over coffee and watch Jon Stewart together and more...

Or really sunny So. Calif.! I feel so guilty now for complaining about the heat today! (but 85 F. in Nov! - global warming???) Wish I could send some of the warmth to you!

Where the heck did you guys sleep while all that was going on? Was it a work in progress while you lived somewhere else? Is it close to done? That last pic would be your front yard, right? Full of questions - but not a stalker!! LOL.

Diane a raison. Il fait tres beau ici dans le nord-ouest. Nous n'avons pas de neige. Mais j'adore regarder tes photos de la nouvelle maison.

Can I just say - having sneaked a peek back a few posts at a picture of the nearly-finished article - that your house is sodding enormous?? You Yanks do everything bigger, you know that? Bigger houses, more snow, colder weather... pah. [goes off to sulk in corner of small lounge with pathetic half-inch of snow on windowsill]
