This makes me crazy. I don't know why it affects me so deeply.
With all the destruction and suffering that goes on daily in this world, I don't know why this cuts me off at the knees.
But it does.

I know that feeling all too well.
It's hard to see innocent creatures die senselessly. It's akin to seeing animals dead along the road, for me.

It's the things with no discernable rhyme or reason that hurt the most - it's just not explainable, no place to blame, and most of all, just so damn sad.
I wish they had Pikea (from Whale Rider) to save them.

I think when things like this happen the animals are trying to tell us something. I believe that animals have a sixth sense. The earth has been out of wack lately. Destructive hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes, extreme heat, extreme cold, flooding, mudslides, violent sea lions, very bad red tides, pandemic flus on the horizon.
