May 11, 2005 7:20 AM- hump day

Me: Sorry buds. You can't go to the job site today.

Henry: You're not serious? You can't leave me in the house all day.

Me: Sorry buddy. They're pouring concrete today. No can do.

Henry: You big meanie. You are so mean. Look how cute I am. Can't I persuade you to do as I say?

Ollie: Psst. Hey Henry. Don't cry, dude. I've got an idea.

Ollie: Just give her the "we'll be good look." Trust me on this.

Me: Okay. You boys be good. Ollie be a good older brother, now.

Ollie: Sure, Mom. Bye Mom. *heh heh* C'mere little brother . . .

Henry: Mommmmmmmy!

Now we know what they do when they take off for hours and no one knows where they've been.

Oh! That was the BEST!!! My Buster ran away on sunday and I thought to myself... "what would BP do?" And then I thought "I'm PREGO! I can't smoke OR booze it up-- so I'm just going to have to be upset about it till he decides to come home!!!"

I've been terribly traumatized by all the dog humping that's been going on at my house. I even berated myself for writing about it on my blog, thinking I must be in the worst possible taste, but here you are, chiming in with the dog humping. I feel much better. And Henry and Ollie have such blameless countenances, I could smooch them!

wait... is Ollie Canadian? He looks like he's watching hockey whilst (whilst!*) he's preforming there. *Otter ripped off my near constant use of "bits" so I'm borrowing the whilst (whilst!) thang. Seems only fair.

Perhaps you can come over to my house and translate what my cat Zoe is thinking right before she throws up. You have a gift. And does does Zoe - for finding anything clean and made of wool to do her business.

Those desperate expressions when they suspect that you might have the nerve, the heart to leave them behind AGAIN are crippling. It works on me each and every time while I painfully close the door behind them. It even works on me with your dogs. I am a complete sucker indeed.

I love the fact that, if you only look at Ollie's face, he seems to be continuing the good dog act. "Me? I'm not doin' anything, no siree Bob. Just hangin' out, wishin' for a road trip."

I'm more worried by Henry's expression. It could mean so many things, most of which can't be listed here for fear of getting me labelled as a Dirty Boy...

i've been critical of your dog's enormous nose in the past, and still am, but he does have great eyebrows. i feel like he should be trying to sell me something, maybe he could be a spokesdog for something i could use.
