March 24, 2005 2:59 PM- bits and bobs

It's not Friday.

This is hard for me since we had our weekly Survivor/indian food/English chocolate/too much wine fest last night which normally occurs on Thursday which allows me to roll through the corridors here on Friday in jeans and a hangover.

Instead, it is Thursday. The busiest day of my week. One that requires I engage more than three gray cells at a time. Something I am simply incapable of in this moment.

Because I have a number of projects going (read: belly dancing, stop the mold experiments in the kitchen, play reading tomorrow night, trip to Boston early Saturday morning, etc) I will likely not be posting before Sunday or beyond.

I will however put up some pics of the Soliden progress as they are putting plywood on the roof as I type (Ed note: posted below). Go team!

It has been quite the week. Much turmoil with great news followed by terrible news at every turn. I'm beginning to think I am not the one who is manic depressive. Au contraire, zee people around me zay are eenzane! What's a girl to do?

I say, high tail it to Boston. Get my hair cut (yes frecklegirl-- I'll be seeing our beloved Jennifer at Salon Luna), head to the make-up counters (note the use of the plural) and beg someone to teach me how to use foundation so I can mask this pale/freckled/age-spotted/sun-damaged/ horrorshow of a visage I have been sporting of late.

If you came here looking for a laugh, allow me to direct you to that which made me shake in fits of hysteria this morning (via lindsayism): does anyone know this woman?

got 2 cents?

Well, the picture is pretty funny in and of itself, but it doesn't seem to want to finish downloading...it just freezes. :( And I was looking forward to being entertained, especially since you'll be gone until SUNDAY. O the humanity!

A plague on both your houses, gatsby! It's not bad enough that mercury is in retrograde and there's a full moon-- that alone is enough to worry me for hair. cut. activity. Now you go in and add UGLY to the pot. Fie.

Craving some big-city glam, are ya? Been a long-ass winter, has it? Yer preachin' to the choir, sister!...if you substitute five years of mind-numbingly sameness for long-ass winter. I look like I've been hit by a Mack truck...I need to be hit by a M.A.C. one. Have fun in Beantown!

a plaque on my houses? over the front door i suppose? huh! and mercury in my gatorade? to think i cheated off you in world history and only got a "C"... i'm disgusted and outraged-- suggesting your banishment based on ugly haircuts is just another way of saying "break a leg kid" or some such blather. -- and "fie," what is that? i don't know what that means, but you better not have been making a malicious hand gesture when you typed that.
