It's cold.
It's the dead of winter.
Bears are smart.
Anyone who would willingly choose to eke out an existence here (unless of course they are outlaws looking for privacy and a second chance) is insane.
C'mon and admit it. You've seen this same view, what-- a thousand times? You're sick of it, aren't you?

Er... not really. I live in a subsuburb. Mountains and large expanses of tranquil water are not really a major feature of the locale. If you ever find yourself getting sick of the view out there, I will cheerfully swap.

I prefer to think of it as "quirky and unconventional," not insane. Insane people would tire of that view, and I could look at it forever.
