A new year, a new tag line . . . thanks to a comment by this young poet. See? See how your comments help me bring definition to my life? First Lizardek names Soliden and now this. And, it fits me better than my given name, I assure you.

You doubt me? You think I simply run amok with monikers? Then imagine this. I read the comment about "a drowsy fabulist" and say to T, "ooooh, isn't that lovely? Isn't that me? Won't you please put that up for me?" But T is a busy man and it is only this weekend that he has the moment to make the change for me. And just as he is doing that, I am down in Boston visiting with Tara who hands me a tissue-wrapped bit of porcelain and says, "I saw this and thought of you."

It's a switchplate cover . . . with a . . . YES . . . a drowsy fabulist painted in pale lavender. Coincidence? I think not.

Alors, I am back from Boston and no, I have no pics to share. I did bring my camera, but the weather was full out gray with sleety rain. I could have snapped some photos when we were hanging out in Tara's apartment, but I was drunk, helas.

Lots and lots of shopping, eating, drinking and a most wondrous matinee of Finding Neverland. I will opine on it, I promise (In a word? Wondrous, or as Lawrence Welk would say, wunnerful wunnerful wunnerful). (Damn, now I've got a backlog of opines . . . and laundry, and writing, and thank you cards, and . . .oh look! It's almost time for bed--- I'll have to do all that tomorrow).

Here's a pic T took this afternoon up at Soliden. And he did this with the weenie digicam! I tell you . . . I can't keep up with that boy.

got 2 cents?

*recoils in horror* Bite your tongue, Lizardek. Have you seen the post/comments going on over at finslippy? Don't wish that on me. I have enough trolls to deal with at work-- I sure don't want them here in my blue heaven.

Sounds like you had a great time in Boston. I love that city, but I didn't think it was a great shopping place? Nice new tagline for the new year...

Well compared to Paris or NYC, no, Boston is not so great, but compared to where I live? It is mecca . .

a drowsy fabulist -- I love that. And I also thought Finding Neverland was wonderful. Here's to JM Barrie for being a fabulist too. And to Johnny Depp for doing such a good job playing him.

my mouth dropped open in wonder at the wonderful photo of Soliden! And you are a drowsy fabulist...I'm not SURE what a fabulist is, but it sounds like you to me...and I also saw Finding Neverland this weekend, only managing to cry TWICE :)

"A drowsy fabulist"--spot on! Dying to see Finding Neverland--Monsier Depp is a Parisian, you know. Married to Vanessa Paradis, the most famous French celebrity that no one in America has heard of.

I, too, have no clue what a "fabulist" is...but if it's "fab" anything, then surely it applies to YOU. (Great switchplate by the way...and tell T. to keep takin' those photos!)

Finslippy is hilarious, and I read his piece, too. He claims he was kidding. Whatever. Even so, drowsy fabulousity is worth a prize in my book :)

If you go to the Dec 27th post-- down in the comments is where 'a drowsy fabulist' gets her mention . . I can't say I know precisely what it means-- but I don't know that I would want to either--- I like it gauzy and hazy.

Previous to this post, I didn't know exactly what a drowsy fabulist was (not that I'd given the matter much thought, I confess), but I'm content to think of you as the definition. And Soliden is breathtaking, as always.

It's always cooler to be a drowsy fabulist. Regular fabulists are so obviously trying too hard and always sending you Christmas newsletters about how they did the Boston Marathon backwards in hiking boots.
