I don't know what purpose horoscopes serve, but today, it just feels validating.

According to the astrology zone dot com,

Everyone at the office is in awe of the amount of high quality work you turn out on a regular basis, and few can keep up with you!"

Oh now, please-- be real. the people at work think I am a heinous, nazi, policing bitch who is constantly asking them when will you have that done? And don't even think about being late. I don't care if you have tickets to go see Caroline and Change in NYC. Your ass is mine until this is fucking done.

(Of course, I'm sure I say please and thank you at least some of the time).

And, my horoscope goes on to say, that,

"A contract, publishing opportunity, legal matter or news about an academic endeavor could make you happy. Despite Mercury retrograde (which will only slow you down a bit), there will be so much to cheer about!"

Well, if all this could only be true. It would make some of the grind of the past few weeks be such a payoff.

But does anyone actually believe in horoscopes? Isn't this a sign of my absolute desperation that I would read this and trust that it's all true and the shifting planets are in control of my life?

But then, she also says my love life is supposed to get hot and heavy for the next four months--- bring it on baby! I'm talking summer of sex and sex and sex.

Maybe there's something to this horoscope stuff.
