It's still dark out or I would take a picture for you of the sunrise over the lake. But knowing how slow I am in the morning, there will probably be a picture here before I leave.

Yes, I'm getting on a jet plane-- or some kind of plane-- you never know these days. You roll up to the airport expecting a 737 or perhaps a 727 and lo and behold they want you to climb aboard a Fisher-Price Flyer with duct tape for a door handle.

Where am I going, you ask? Why of course-- to that place in the boonies-- outside Philadelphia. It's gonna be kind of a combo visit. My mom has not been well, I won't see my folks at Thanksgiving or Christmas this year since now that the larger percentage of family is now down in the Philly area and not the Boston area, they get to call the shots and I am just not traveling all the way down there because the stretch of I95 between Connecticut and Pennsylvania is the DEVIL's HIGHWAY! And, cause I hate to travel during holidays-- holidays mean hanging around the house all day in P.J.s drinking coffee and watching videos or drinking wine and having people over (I may get out of my P.J.s for that, but no promises) or drinking tea and reading a book--- when I no longer give my life blood to the corporate beast 40+ hours of my prime each week, maybe I'll drive down to Philly for the holidays. But for now? Just a garden variety, run-of-the-mill selfish self-centered creature. Anyway, so I'll be down there visiting with all them and my brother and his wife and their one-year old. Stuffing my face with a hoagie with sweet peppers I'm sure and filling my suitcase with TastyKake butterscotch krimpets and soft pretzels . . . but I will be back. And will catch up with you all then.
